Boogie Down Books to Keep Popping Up

Boogie Down Books pop-up stores are going to keep popping up with literary access in the Bronx for the foreseeable future, according to the American Booksellers Association.

The popular concept, started by former high school English teacher Rebekah Shoaf, held an October ‘fall into reading’ event, ran book clubs at the Mott Haven library in November, and has an on-going presence at the Mottley Kitchen.

Depsite the popularity and success of the concept, she expects not to open a book store per se, but maybe a book mobile one day.
