According to an exclusive story in welcome2theBronx, community hopes have for the moment been disrupted by the surprising news that the former Bronx General Post Office on 149th Street and the Grand Concourse is going back on the market.  The United States Postal Service had sold it for $19 million to Youngwoo and Associates in 2013, but they recently told welcome2thebronx that they’re selling it.

The classic post office building was supposed to be converted to ‘Bronx Post Place’, which would have included private offices, a rooftop restaurant, and a bustling community space with a variety of amenities and attractions.
