BronxTalk – Hate Speech, Immigrants, Racism

Lehman Professor Melissa Castillo Planas (C) and Aniqa Nawabi of MCNNY talk with host Gary Axelbank (BronxNet screen shot)

This week’s BronxTalk on BronxNet features a stirring discussion about the nature of prejudice in America and the Bronx and how it’s affecting life for immigrants, both documented and undocumented.

Host Gary Axelbank talked with a college professor, writer, and poet who specializes in Latin-x culture and the head of a Muslim rights organization about a range of issues including prejudice on the streets, hate speech from neighborhoods – as well as from the White House, the plight of migrants who seek asylum, and a range of related issues.
