Hunts Point is now home to a natural gas refueling station, owned by Clean Energy Fuels Corp. NGT News reported that this is the first in NYC to solely offer renewable natural gas for medium and heavy-duty trucks.

The Hunts Point Market, which is only a few blocks from the station, is home to an estimated 15,000 truck trips per day. Baldor Specialty Foods, Manhattan Beer Distributors, and U.S. Concrete have indicated that they will switch to natural gas trucks.
