Closed Park Could Have A $4.6 Million Upgrade

According to The City, locals near Corporal Irwin Fischer Park could finally have the clean and open greenspace they’ve been wanting for decades.

Recently the Parks Department discussed ideas with Bronx Community Board 4’s parks committee for a $4.6 million upgrade, which includes a playground and more accessibility to Highbridge Park.

The next step is to go through the entire CB and if approved, construction for the Neighborhood Development Fund supported park can begin in 2021, says The City.
