If Saturday’s first-ever Bronx Night Market is anything like the scrumptious sunsplashed Tasting Preview|Press Day|Preview Tasting that took place on Tuesday at the Bronx Brewery, then it is going to be an awesome event that shows off some of the very best of the Bronx.
The food delicacies at the tasting were nothing short of scrumptious, the tea and beer delightful, and the homemade ice cream and sorbet finished it off with a delicious flair.
During the Brewery event, the leaders of the organizations who are putting the big event together – BLOX, Edible Bronx, the Fordham Road BID – flitted about gleefully tasting the delcacies with members of the media and other VIP’s and they made it clear that this was really only a fraction of the beginning.
“Today’s food was amazing,” said Marco Shalma of the BLOX, “but what’s really amazing is that there will be three times as many food vendors, as well as fashion, and live music at what we think is going to be a night of celebrating the very best of Bronx culture.”
The whole thing goes down at Fordham Plaza on Saturday night June 30 from 4:00pm-9:00pm. There will be four more through the summer on July 28, August 25, September 29, and October 27.
The Blox is a Bronx-based creative agency specializing in creative strategy, branded content, and public relations. They’re collaborating on the Bronx Night Market with Edible Bronx, and the Fordham BID. thisistheBronX is a media co-sponsor of the Bronx Night Market.
