Where Not To Park: Top Car Burglary Neighborhoods

Cars parked along Van Cortlandt Park are susceptible to break-ins according to a study (Google maps)

According to the New York Post, two Bronx neighborhoods were at the top of the list for autmobile crimes:   Van Cortlandt Park and Pelham Bay Park.  Not coincidentally both of these neighborhoods are surrounded by parks and the  the parking app SpotAngels found that park areas were the least secure for cars to park.

In 2017 the the borough was second in the city (behind Brooklyn) for more than six thousand break-ins.
