According to ABC7, a Con Ed crew managed to retrieve an engagement ring after a woman dropped it into down into a street side grate last Friday.
After reaching out to the MTA and a plumbing company, she found that out that the grate belonged to the Con Ed. With the help of a single tweet on twitter, Con Ed was able to respond to the incident.
They pulled up the ring at Southern Boulevard and East 163rd Street on Tuesday morning. Despite it being hard to see, Con Ed worker Dionny Mejia actually found it in only 30 minutes.
