See Yourself in “Bronx Faces” at the Belmont Library

Morris Park artist Annie Legnini has a unique way of portraying the faces of Bronx people. In her her second art show, “Bronx Faces” at the Belmont Library, she uses paint and recycled materials to illustrate unique characteristics of Bronxites.

Her goal is to present their beauty, diversity and Bronx experiences. According to News 12 the Bronx, she plans on making 100 portraits from materials found in her apartment.

Legnini says she most appreciates people’s reactions when they see a version of themselves in her work.
