Soccer Stadium Plans Coming Back to the Bronx?

The New York Times  has a story that says the New York Football Club may have a found a new site for their stadium and after examining sites elsewhere in the city, it could be located where they originally looked: in the Bronx.

The plan the Times reviews is through a partnership that includes Jorge Madruga of Maddd Equities and Eli Weiss of Joy Construction and unlike other plans it wouldn’t be on the Harlem River, but off River Avenue on 153rd Street where GAL Manufacutring is located.  This is the third proposal for a soccer stadium in the Bronx in the last four months.

The location, across the street from a Yankee Stadium parking garage, was one they eye-balled five years ago before it was deemed unacceptable for a variety of reasons.
