WATCH! The City Island Viacommunity Day, 2019 – Official Video

City Islanders and Viacom employees celebrate the launch of the City Island Oyster Reef project on Viacommunity Day, 2019 (Ron Terner Photography)

On Friday, May 10, 2019 City Island community members and Viacom employees got together for City Island Viacommunity Day, 2019 to beautify the island and launch the highly-anticipated City Island Oyster Reef project that will ultimately clean the waters that surround the island and form an environmentally-friendly natural protective reef along the coast line.

Please enjoy the official City Island Viacommunity Day, 2019 video that depicts Viacom personnel and islanders working together on planting at Carrol Street and painting and planting in downtown City Island and at the local Post Office. Also, get on the boat with the City Island Drift as they begin to repopulate the Long Island Sound with oysters.

The videographer was Bronxite Adiana Rivera. It was produced by Gary Axelbank for thisistheBronX. Ron Terner provided photographs and Deanna Garcia contributed additional photos and video.
