BronxTalk – Klein / Biaggi Debate

This week’s BronxTalk on BronxNet features the highly-anticipated debate for the Democratic Primary for the 34th Senatorial District, that includes the Bronx neighborhoods of Riverdale, Van Cortlandt Park, Pelham Parkway, Throggs Neck, and Hunts Point.

Incumbent Jeff Klein and challenger Alessandra Biaggi discussed the IDC, comparative legislative experience, housing reform, the Hunts Point Access road project, the Morris Park ‘road diet’, and more. The program was moderated by Gary Axelbank.

Here’s analysis of the debate from the Riverdale Press…

  1. It’s about time someone NEW comes in and challenges these career politicians. Klein has never done anything to help the community, other than a lot of words… he has never listened to OUR complaints and concerns.

  2. New is not a problem when she’s wise, informed, and energetic, and has the right programmatic emphasis. Experienced in doing little except helping the Republicans stop progress is not a plus.

  3. It’s all about th Left Challenging th mainstream Dems….. that’s it no substance!..vote4klein..

Ur Friend SAL from th Bronx….

  4. Jeff Klein represents a wealth of experience, involvement in community affairs, progressive ideas and accomplishments for all of his constituents. He TRULY embodies the principles of the Democratic Party, despite his detractors branding him with negative associations attributed incorrectly to the IDC.

  5. Encouraging and helping bike riders in the Morris Park area is a good idea and don’t find Morris Park has too much traffic so that it would be a problem. First time I heard of a “road diet” tbh though.
