High Lead Levels in Bronx School Faucets

Chalkbeat says that the water pipes in almost 400 schools around the city have yet to receive treatment for high lead levels, with the Bronx having some of the worst.

Harry S. Truman High School was found to have the most water faucets with the poisonous metal at 27 taps. The city will begin a three-year retesting of over 142,000 school faucets, according to Chalkbeat.
