Residents Ready to Monitor FreshDirect Trucks

This story in the Mott Haven Herald reports on local community members who are concerned about FreshDirect’s trucks moving to the Port Morris waterfront early 2018.

While the article says some residents are hopeful for the jobs the food giant will bring, a Port Morris resident is volunteering for an 18-month Columbia University study to monitor air pollution and noise because he and many of his neighbors are concerned about increased pollution that could affect respiratory and cardiovascular disease rates.
